hello to whoever is reading this. (probably no-one). I am finally getting round to updating the sweet blog. We were in Sao Paulo just for a night then got bus to Rio de Janerio. Its an ace place. Met james mates Tom and Sam (the beans) who were over for two weeks and saw all the sights, hit the beach, played beach 5 a side with the locals got our asses kicked. They have the skills. My brother Alan joined us for 2 1/2 weeks too he had great time. We went to this island ilha grande a few hours from rio by bus and ferry. Its got great beachs jungle and loads of travellers around so had a few good nights and days there. Then after the beans had headed home, james alan and i took a 24 hour bus ride down to the argentine border and walked round the iguaca falls. These are awesome to be fair. Tres loads of water like, make the niagra look tiny. Stayed in a cool hostel run by a crazy old lady who was really nice. Oh then alan and i got food poisening off an all you can eat roteria meat place. Sick for 2 days including on the bus back to rio thought i was going to pass out at one point not nice. Then checked out the mountains near petropolis. Alan then returned to UK. James and i then took 24 hour bus ride to Porto Seguro which is the brazilian ibiza it seems very commercial loads of beachs and beggers and con artists but a good laugh. Visited a few other quieter places in the area too before heading for Salvador which my friends is where i am now. Went on the proper lash last night threw some shapes with the locals they were doing the everybody in a circle thing while someone dances solo in the middle. I perplexed them with my moves i think but hey ho. Been meeting loads of nice peeps while here cos obviously we´re on the ´gringo trail´ Tomorrow we head to Belem to arrange a 5 day boat trip up the amazon river to Manaus. 36 hours on a bus first though. im going to try and upload some pix now.... unfortunately i overwrote the rio/iguaca falls ones by not using Nero properly; its in portugese. Luckily Alan has a copy of the cd before i screwed it up. Anyway im off for a cervesa and maybe a but of scran. Take care whoever is reading this. The regards.
