Jaipur, Jodphur, Jaisalmer and places that dont begin with the letter J

Good afternoon Readers....i see its been nearly month since the last Blog input. So i reckon its about time for an update, and since its one of the final trip entries im going to enter a large quantity of blogage, a heavy blog-age quotient if you will. As far as the tourism is concerned James and I have been putting in the mileage. We left Delhi for Uteranchal up into the mountains and to visit the old British Raj hill stations of Derha dun, Mousourri and Shimla. We reached an altitude of nearly 2800 metres where it was much cooler let me tell you, i liked Shimla it was tres relaxing. . So..after a couple of weeks (and suffering from a cold and cough), we mosied on over to Amaritzer near the pakistan border to look at the sweet golden temple, (the centre of the sikhs world) and to watch the border guard ceremony which was tres impressive. Yer so after that shennanigens we headed on over to the tres touristy state of Rajahstan. Fortunately due to the temperature being mid 40's most of the time its out of season so the bus loads of japanese and americans that are normally here are conspicuous by their absence, so its just idiot backpackers like us sweating our arses off. To be fair there's lots to see, the fort in Jodphur is a highlight i didnt realise it was so big. Stayed in a sweet hostel there too. Yer so we've just left jaisalmer (in the Thar desert) where i rode a camel and sweated a lot, and now we're in Udaipur (where they shot the James Bond flick Octopussy). Kind Regards!!!

Me wearing an authentic indian old man vest (and still sweating heavily due to it being 46 degrees celcius) standing in front of the pink palace facade in Jodphur. Did you know that the horse riding trousers "jodphurs" are named after Rajphut Polo players from Jodphur.....i didnt....but now i do.

James getting annoyed at the drum seller. (you have to say no thanks 7 times on average)

Famous cinema in Jaipur, we saw a terrible bollywood film, it was laughable. The two films we saw in mumbai were good but this was unbelievable.

James explaining why he isnt married yet.

View of Jodphur fort from the bazaars in town.

Me standing in a manly fashion on the fort ramparts.

Hot dog trying to stay cool, he sits there all day.

Jodphur fort, i liked it so much ive posted 2 pictures of it and i dont care wot anyone says.

Me on a camel !!

James and I standing by a camel. Its as simple as that.

Jaisalmer Fort, its made out of sand.

Bus-age.

Buses in India are in general terrible. But if you opt for the deluxe option they're bearable.
