Oh good shot!! Now this is test match cricket!!!
Hello again Readers.
Well 4 weeks in india and im still alive. No sign of Stomach problems yet so thats a bit of a bonus. Yer so we watched the cricket last week all 5 days and to be fair i enjoyed it. I jumped on the band wagon a bit last summer when we won the ashes, but I feel i could now have a proper cricket conversation with an expert fan, now that i have studied the intracacies of the eb and flow of this quintisentially english sport! AND we won! (India's batting collapsed horribly after lunch the legendary Sachin Tendulkar scoring the most with 34). There were loads of english in mumbai for it i think they said 4000 "barmy army" as they call themselves. Most of them from essex. :o)
Anyway we were glad to get out of mumbai its an ok place but it smells and there are far too many people there. So we took an overnight sleeper train to Margoad in Goa. I overheard a man the other day explaining to his wife that the trains are called sleeper train because you sleep on them. I did wonder. So now we are on Panolem Beach South Goa. We decided to avoid the package holiday resorts in the north and this place is just about right. Quite a few travellers, nice restaurants on the beach and an internet cafe wot more do you need? The accomodation is a bit basic its a hut on the beach but we've got mozzi nets and a fan plus light so its enough. The food here is tres good. Had Shark the other night. Its all fresh and tres tasty. Other than that, we've been relaxing playing beach footy and working on the Tans. Its a hard life!! Been here nearly a week tomorrow we go to Hampi. Think theres a temple there or wotnot. Oh we went fishing the other day. We were a bit niaeve. Kind of thought that it would be a trip to see the fishermen catch the real fish but it turned out we just went out given a bit of nylon and sat fishing for an hour, of course i caught nothing so yer thats been the only real downer so far! Getting lashed quite a bit too!!! Thew some shapes to reggae last night i was seriously working it. Did a bit of washing the floor dance that went down well. All good clean fun!! Another highlight of the last few weeks is my attempt to grow a moustache, Alan inspired me to it with his gallant attempt (see "Sitting on the Blog" link to his inane blog page). My moustache results are in the photos below. I didnt shave for 2 weeks then experimented with a few styles before settling on the elegant handlebar option. I kept it for a day before i realised i was getting strange looks. A lot of indians (mostly men) have moustaches though, its all the vogue here. Anyway thats it take care people.
I think it makes me look refined. Most other people think i look an idiot.

James on the beach in Goa wearing his Sarong for a laugh. Im not into the whole dress like an indian thing that some travellers do, finding their "spiritual side" and wotnot. But horses for courses!!
Unfortunately the connection here is tres slow so i will have to post some more pix another time.
later!!

A moustache? Pure class, mate. I'd buy a second hand-car/porn video off you any day. Er... hang on - no I wouldn't. ;-)
